Continuing Education Information:

Students will be awarded a Certificate of Program Completion for 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon successfully completing the course.

Attendance Policy and Other Important Requirements:
To receive the Certificate of Completion and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) the following is required:

  • Attendance at a specified number of classes (at least 9 for weekday 5 for weekend; this does not include the orientation session)
  • Timely and successful completion of written and oral assignments

To receive the Certificate of Achievement from SHRM, the following is required:

  • All requirements mentioned above for the Certificate of Completion
  • A score of 70% or better for the SHRM Final Exam

Military Funding Information:
The Human Resources Management Certificate Program has been approved by the Department of Veterans Services to receive GI Bill funding. Spouses of active duty military members that are eligible for MYCAA and active duty military members that are eligible for Air Force TA and Army TA may contact their education service officer to apply for course approval. is Vice-President and co-founder of Omega HR Solutions, Inc. a consulting and services company offering complete humanF resources solutions. Mike brings over 30 years of experience in dealing with the challenges of Human Resources in the 21st century. He authors the HR blog entitled HR Observations at OmegaHRSolutions.com. He speaks, writes and teaches on a number of management and HR issues and holds both the SPHR and SHRM-SCP Certifications.

In his blog he writes about working with the laws and regulations in the HR field. He also writes about futurist topics in order to prepare HR professionals for things they will have to deal with in the next 5 to 10 years.

Charles Craig has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources. He holds the Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation and has both the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) Certifications as well. Charles has his BA in Business Administration and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Brenau University. As a SHRM Atlanta member, Charles serves as an executive board member for the Georgia Employer’s Committee and the Georgia Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee. He has instructed the SHRM Learning System for Emory University, SHRM Atlanta, and for The University of North Georgia.

The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM®) to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
