I graduated in 2011 from the culinary program. It was one of the greatest times of my life and I learned way more than I ever imagined. There are many wonderful chef instructors that are full of knowledge. It seems that LCB is getting more into pushing as many students as they can through the program. They took the most effective class out, the restaurant. A lot of the students need this before they get out in the industry and now they are not ready. There is still good students, but a lot of them should have not graduated and are an embarrassment to the school.

Sorry excuse for a school. When they say for-profit, boy they mean it. My husband was a student hear last year for baking and pastry. When he graduated, we had a student loan to pay off (with payment plan, on time-never in default). When we went to buy a house, the lender required a transcript. When we requested one (which cost $5), they responded that they could not provide one because of the outstanding loan, which we were paying on. This was never in default or late or anything, and they withheld the student information, which is a violation of FERPA. The only thing to this school s credit is that the classes are actually useful and informative, and for the most part, the chefs are good teachers. Poor administrative staff and policies, and ALL they care about is the cash. Would never recommend. Johnson and Wales – go there instead!

I am currently a student at the Dallas, TX location. I have been through so much at this school and the only thing that s keeping me here is the thought of how much money I ve already invested. I have no support from most of the Chefs here. I have been told that since i am a black woman that i may want to reconsider my dream as a chef entertainer on TV. I just had a meeting with the school president and a Chef that has accused me of crushing on another chef just because I like his teaching technique. I am so uncomfortable and the only reason I am writing this review is so that i can reach out to other s before they make the same mistake I have. Yes this is a school full of politics and Chef s that believe students are supposed to stroke their ego. I wish I would have done my research. I m so stressed out at this place and now i m in a very uncomfortable situation. I AM A STUDENT THAT WISH I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN ANOTHER SCHOOL.
